March Forward: A Message from our CEO

Dsc 0377

After the terrifying and tragic school shooting in Florida, Americans across the country are calling for change. Some of that change is directly related to how we serve people with mental illness. At KYC, a significant part of our mission is to support children, youth, adults, and families across the behavioral health spectrum.

From clients who need help getting through a difficult moment in their lives to those with chronic, lifelong mental illness, we’re proud to work with people from all walks of life. For many, we are the only refuge for services. More than 84% of our behavioral health clients make less than $10,000 a year. To protect our work with these clients, we’re committed to raising private dollars to subsidize their care and ensure our ability to continue to serve these most vulnerable members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay. Because of this commitment, we’ve set lofty goals for our upcoming event.

On June 9th, we hope to celebrate our most successful Run/Walk in our history, looking to you to help us raise $80,000 for our programs. It will require all of us to hustle and help to hit this target, but the funds are vital to support our clients. Please join us in our commitment to providing quality and compassionate services through mental health and senior services. Register to fundraise with us and save the date to celebrate on June 9thas we ensure our community’s health and safety.

Until April,

Susan E. Cowen
President and Chief Executive Officer
